Default Bengals to LA?

Could MB be setting the team up to do so horribly that he can pick up and move?

Or could be he knew they were going to be bad so he figured they might as well have the excuse that they lost all their best players?

If this team was going to move to LA, they would have been mentioned by actual columnists and media quite some time ago.

LA does not want this cancer of a franchise effecting their populace anyway.

Maybe Carson would play for the Bengals again if they moved to the West Coast?

If his wife will let him...

In the 1990s when Mike Brown threatened to move out of Cincy.....LA said they would love another NFL team, anybody except the Bengals. LA dosn't consider the Bengals an NFL team.

Cincy just agreed to pay for this new replay screen. The city and the taxpayers should win major law suits if Mike Brown broke his contract....and didn't Mikey just complaine about Carson breaking his contract ? The tax payers have rights also.

Truth is that if Cincy moved to LA, they still would not have a team. Talk about ruining a city. Look at the PBS fiasco among other costs to Cincy for years to come.

Mike Brown will never get the sweet stadium deal he has in Cincinnati.

So, he is not moving.

But, if he did, the Steelers would probably get stuck in a division with the Colts versus the Bengals. The LA Bengals would not stay in the AFCN.

I lived it. I remember the 1990s. I remember Mike Brown threatening to move. I remember The Commish on Mike Browns side. I remember LA wanting an NFL team....and I remember LA saying to the Commish, NOT THE BENGALS ....I remember it because The Bengals leaving was very possible, but LA made it clear their city didn't want them. So with the threat of moving the Bengals, it was good to hear LA didn't want them. It helped keep them in Cincy. ....I'm not going to go back and try to find data on this for you. I don't care if you don't believe it. I know it happened. ....Had Cincy not built PB Stadium, LA did NOT want the Bengals and said they would wait for another franchise opportunity. ....I'm sure the Bengals have done nothing to make Beverly Hills and Hollywood want the Bengals now......Somewhere in back historical newspaper microfilm in library basements are sports storys of 1990s, Mike Brown, The Commish and LA not wanting Mike Brown, but I am not so concerned with convincing you that I will waste time in library basements collecting this data for you. Perhaps it is out there in back internet news somewhere. Again, I'm not looking for it, I lived it, know what went down. ....It is not that hard to comprehend LA in the 1990s not wanting the Bengals after having the Rams and Raiders. The Bengals would have been a huge step down...Perhaps you forget how bad the 1990s Bengals were....Oh, it was said they wouldn't mind the team if Mike Brown and family didn' t come with the deal, but Mike Brown and family did come with the deal. ....So let me say LA didn't want Mike Brown and family, and that most Bengal fans can relate to. They would have taken the Bengals under new ownership. That I should mention because it is an important difference.....As alot of Cincy fans wouldn't mind new ownership.

It worked for the Cleveland team.

They were awful before moving to Balt. However, in 1999 the new Browns team picked up where the old one left off..sukking. Hopefully cincy wouldn't meet the same fate.

Yes, I should make it clear that LA in the 1990s said they didn't want Bengals if that meant Mike Brown and family came with the deal.....and I'm sure LA would still feel that way. They might want the Bengals but only under new ownership. Mike isn't going to do that. This does not mean someday when he is gone his kids won't sell.

Complete bullpucky.

"Within months of the moves of the Rams and Raiders, several NFL teams were rumored to be replacements. They included the Cleveland Browns, the Cincinnati Bengals, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and the Seattle Seahawks. However, the Browns moved to become the Baltimore Ravens in 1996 amid major controversy, and a new Browns team occupied a new stadium in 1999. The Bengals, Buccaneers and Seahawks, meanwhile, used L.A.'s vacancy as leverage to convince their cities to help finance new stadiums."

In other news, the Pirates are still in Pittsburgh, and the Bengals are still in Cincinnati; due largely to fleeting glimmers of false hope in recent seasons.

See me when a current Steeler does the same.

Besides, he might admit to it...to avoid another murder charge.
