I realize this is a little early, but I would pass on Trent Richardson this year for Marcus Lattimore next year. Now if we magically pick in the 20's and Richardson is available, I admit it would be hard to pass on him that late in the first round. I believe they are both AFC North RB's, but I like Lattimore's size a little better. He is listed at 6'2" 230 lbs. and is projected to run a 4.5 in the 40. Richardson is 5'11" 225 lbs. and he is projected to have crazy numbers all over the combine. That said I still like Lattimore's power/speed combo to go along with his balance and vision. I suppose the argument that Richardson would be in the next draft and Lattimore would be in the draft after that... I would take another year of Benson to make it happen. I am projecting a 10-15 pick for both years since both will probably go before the 15th pick anyway... Who do you like? Richardson or Lattimore?

I've been following this guy since his senior year in high school and I'm glad he went to the college team I root for. This guy is a freak and a beast! And he's only a soph right now doing all that damage.

I'm not a huge fan of Richardson, I think he's highly over rated. I don't think anyone in college football hits the hole harder than Marcus Lattimore.
Let's squeeze another good year out of Benson, and bring in Lattimore in 2013. Dre Kirkpatrick or Alfonzo Dennard for 2012. |

I go to Bible College down South and hear Lattimore talk everywhere. Great player, I just hope they don't run him down at SC. He needs to keep some tread on those tires for the pro game.

Lattimore is a stud but I dont know if I could get behind spending a top 5 pick (top 10 at the least) on a RB, which is most likely what you would have to use as of right now.

You do realize Lattimore will be (at earliest) in the 2013 draft, since he's a true sophomore this season?

I do think that Montee Ball would be a decent option if they are picking in the 15-20 range and need a RB. |

Lattimore is a complete beast. If he had a higher top end speed he would probably be a top 5 pick, but he will still likely be a top 15 pick if he continues to tear up the SEC.

With the new salary structure for rookies, I wouldn't be opposed to taking a RB in the top 10 anymore.

I became a fan in his second NCAA game last year. Turned on South Carolina to see how Spurrier would do against Georgia and drooled all over myself watching him go for over 180 and 2 TD's. He can completely take over a game if you just give him the ball.

Lattimore is TEARING it up tonight,
35 carries for 236 yards, and 3 TDs. |

All that and they escaped Navy @ home by only 3.
