On a somewhat serious note, this will be an interesting test case for our coaching. As far as I could tell, Livings' problem here when he got beat was that he seemed to get the assignment wrong and be confused. It wasn't so much a problem of him being beaten physically or overpowered by opponents. So, physically he has enough talent IMO and there's no reason he couldn't be a successful guard if he got better at the mental part of the game. If the Cowboys manage to help him get that right when we couldn't it'll reflect poorly on our coaching.

Livings was above average to good in pass protection.

Remember, Evan Mathis didn't play here and graded out as the best Guard in football last season.

There is a chance that Livings goes to Dallas and gets in a scheme that he can thrive in. Mathis said that the Eagles coach has him being aggressive instead of passive and that helped him. Livings might be the same way.

And Evan Mathis wasn't good enough to start here and left and graded out as one of the best Guards.

Justin Smith looked above average here and left and was in the running for defensive MVP last year.

Joseph was here and never made a Pro Bowl and left and made the Pro Bowl last season.

Not saying that Livings will be great when he leaves, but if he gets in the right scheme, he could be good. Apparantly the Cowboys feel that way too.

Best news I've heard in awhile. Livings for Decastro.....what a bunch of suckers. Since they got Carr too I'm thinking Barron may be their pick now.

That would easily be the best off-season move this team made.

It would be funny if it were later revealed that he was our priority.

We can hope but I wouldn't put it past mike brown to find someone even worse

I wish him well, although I obviously never liked him as a player. Hope he can live up to his contact there

Livings was horrifying in pass protection. More than once he literally blocked the wrong man and gave defenders a completely clean shot on Andy. Whitworth never did that.

Dalton: "thank god"

Paul Alexander: "Are the cowboys hiring any coaches?"

Mike Brown "I know 53 players is the maximum, but is there a minimum?"
