Okoye has to love the fact he could possibly join one of the upcoming D line rotations in the league and they are all close in age and can grow together

I heard it on the radio or podcast, and I just can't remember where I heard it from.

Per SpotRac, there is an incentive piece for $1.25 million per year on the Geathers contract. Perhaps, this is the sack component.

I don't know how to value Geathers. Many fans look at the stat sheet to evaluate the value of a player. I think that Geathers adds a lot more value to the dline then is reflected on his stat sheet. I think that Geathers might have missed a couple games in 2011, and the Bengals run defense floundered in Geathers' absense. (Marvin has been pretty consistant with his praise of Geathers.)

geathers is solid... and good vs the run.. and for a while when we had no interior PR threat he couldnt get to the passer. now that our DT stable is better hes been doing better. he can still set the edge on the run turning the RB inside to the linebackers.. and thats what his job is.

I think it is funny that he was supposed to visit here and now it is just rescheduled and not given a reason.

Funny to me.

Here is the reason

@caplannfl
Adam Caplan
Amobi Okoye's visit yesterday to the#Bengals had to be rescheduled since members of the coaching staff were at Notre Dame's pro day.

Doesn't make sense that they would reschedule Okoye to scout Floyd.

Maybe Zimmer doesn't like Mays or Sands and wants to take Smith and keep him at SS.

Or if Floyd were to be there at 17 they would snap him up.

But we did not reschedule visits when Marvin was out west remember?

That probably means our defensive staff was at the workout as well.

Funny to me.
Again, I struggle to understand your perspective.

It just seems to me that you find humor in the possibility that Okoye may not be signed by the Bengals. I don't understand that.

Just because there wasn't a reason reported doesn't mean that there wasn't a valid reason to re-schedule.

I guess, "To each their own."
