If DeCastro does manage to fall to 17 they simply have to take him. If they get him I would be giddy. The rest of the draft would be gravy to me. My nightmare scenario is that he falls to us at 17, we pass thinking he will be there at 21, and the ravens trade up before 21 and take him to replace Grubbs. I would be furious.

Re: What 3 drafted Players would make your Day?
Trent Richardson
David DeCastro Alshon Jeffrey Offense building complete for the next 2 years at least lol, which means we can focus entirely on defense (for the most part) the next two drafts.

I am okay with Barron either way. Zeitler in the 1st would be a reach. I like Wilson but worry about his fumbling issues. Wouldn't mind Miller/Wilson/or Martin in the 2nd round.

I have thought a lot about this and what I would like/think the Bengals would do.....
1A:Courtney Upshaw (OLB/DE Alabama) - Marvin Lewis gets his Lamar Woodley, Terell Suggs player. Guy is an absolute MONSTER. Bengals are working on situational D, rotations, multiple looks, etc. This guys is PERFECT. TRADE with a team down into the top of the 2nd round for more picks/future picks &/or a player of need (CB? ala Deltha Oneal). 2A:Ruben Randal (WR LSU) - Big, good hands, YAC, and considered a good fit for WCO. 2B:LaMichael James (RB Oregon) - I really really really like the idea of this kid in a rotation w/ BJGE, Scott, & Leonard. He should be available when the Bengals pick in this round as well. My favorite running back is Martin. He reminds me of a little bit bigger ray Rice. I would not be upset if they took him with their 2nd 1st round pick, but I don't see it. Notes: I am not 100% sure that the Bengals take a G in this draft. They have taken one the past two drafts and (IMO) should continue to allow the youth already on the roster to develop rather than go young AGAIN. I think the Bengals forcast either Hudson or Bolling, hopefully both, to step up. They now have @ G: Wharton, Bollings, Hudson, Bell. If they do draft a G I like Kelechi Osemele out of Iowa State as a 5th or 6th round guy. He's 6'6" 333lbs. and is a very very smart player and good run blocker. Pass blocking is the weaker part of his game but scouting says he is a bright, hard worker who improves every season. They could also sign a G as well for depth. - If the Bengals do NOT make a trade I see them going with Stephen Hill (my favorite WR in the draft) in the 1st and still keep LaMichael James in the 2nd rd. - CB depth is NOT a huge concern for me at this point. Why? because I don't think that any of the CBs available are a good fit for the Bengals man cover scheme. The ont hat I do like, Robinson, is shorter than the Bengals usually go for. I would be ho-hum with a CB in the 1st & 2nd rounders rarely pan out. - At some point they will need to do something about TE because there are only two on the roster. I liked Donald Lee, but the team hasn't moved to sign him. Maybe they have a target in the draft, but most of this years class are 250lb(ish) receiver types. Not the hybrid blocker kind. I feel like the Bengals are in the drivers seat this draft to do whatever they want. The team is built young but experienced. They have depth at almost every spot. Would love to see them maneuver around and continue to stockpile picks over the next few years. |

It might be a bit of a stretch, but I think my ideal first 3 rounds would be Gilmore, Glenn, Alshon, and L. James.

Several combinations would make me happy.
1. Kuechly, Glenn, Lamar Miller 2. Decastro, Barron, Miller/Wilson 3. Barron, Martin, Zeitler 4. Blackmon, Kirkpatrick, Zeitler 5. Richardson, Barron, Zeitler Basically, there are many players that I would be happy to get. There are so many directions to go with it that I can't wait to watch it unfold. Is it sad that I will be glued to my tv for the draft?

The first three players I'm hoping for are:
#17- M. Barron, S #21- S. Gilmore, CB #53- S. Hill, WR If any one, to all three, are gone by those selections, then I would take the best available players by these three positions: #17- CB (Move this position up, if S M.Barron is gone, because it is our biggest need. I just like Barron more than I do any of the corners in this draft) #21- OL (Tackles are always preferred over guards as it is easier to move a tackle inside than it is to move a guard outside). There will be some very good players available at this point. #53- RB (still need depth here as Rb's are generally better values here than are Wr's) But having said that, IF WR S. Hill WAS available here though, I would choose him OVER the remaining available RB's here. |

I think Glenn and Gilmore will be available. Alshon maybe there as well in round 2, so it is reasonable.

Why Wolfe over Barron (I was looking at your Sig)? Where would Konz play? It seems like the FO is behind Cook at Center.
