Bill Belichick. Goes for the throat until he gets bored with it.

Not saying your wrong; but you forgot the word 'most' before other head coach...also the 'es' at the end of coach.

I can only agree with playing conservative many times, but under last years circumstances understandable. Jay was learning and teaching at the same time, you have to give him credit, it worked out. Little D and a little O went along way.

In the first half of the season, hell yes ! In the 2nd half when our very playoff lives were at stake, hell no ! We had every reason and excuse to put the pedal to the metal, and instead we laid an egg and sat on it.

schedule agrees with ya, cup cake early and much better competition second half.
I believe we did have the pedal to the medal, we just lost, not enough weapons, average O-line, depleted D.

Last time (and really the only time) we finished strong was when Fitzpatrick filled in for an injured Palmer and Benson came off the street to close out 2008 with a flourish. I think Crocker was a part of that as well.

My biggest problem is the end of the season blues we seem to go through all to often. When teams that make deep playoff runs (Giants) are playing their best ball at the end of the season, we always seem to struggle.
I love a good rant as much as the next guy but I'm not sure why this is happening. Is it the coaching staff, the players, ownership, or just bad luck?

I think as long as we get the interior O-line upgraded it will be turned around. Wharton is
an upgrade but we still have to look at the RG position and in this draft there are a lot of
Guards that can do the job.

I am really hoping for DeCastro in the first, if somehow he falls to us and we pick him this
team will be on the up and up. It all starts in the trenches. Some of these experts saying
we will take Kendall Wright in the first are annoying me.

Need to take a Guard early whether it is DeCastro, Reiff, Konz or Glenn IMO.

Not according to most of the people who post here. When the Bengals outplayed the Pats in the second half of the '10 opener it was only because Belichick "called off the dogs" and played more conservative in the second half with a big lead.

Yeah, he didn't need to cheat at that point.

Our main problem has been lack of depth. In '09 one major injury (Henry) derailed our entire passing game. That just shouldn't happen. Last year we just were not that great fo a team to begin with, and then the losses of Hall and Sims seemed to ruin our defense, and the loss of Bobbie hampered our offense..

I give Marvin a lot of credit for getting a team to the playoffs last year that was $30 million under the cap (I don't know of another coach that hs ever done this), but just think how much farther we could of gone if Mike had just spent a few million more on another better OG and CB.
With that in mind, can you imagine the horrible negative impact an injury to AJ Green would have on this offense?
